Kishor Biyani correctly guessed the need of Indian consumers. He mustered the courage to tread the unexplored path and demonstrated his entrepreneurial ability. Biyani reacted to the crisis with measures such as a considerable reduction in the numbers of his mid-level management staff and a restructuring of his corporate interests.
